I need to replace my satellite dish as it has become rusty etc. Just wondering what is the smallest dish I can use for FTA ?

Anybody any experience with small dishes e.g. 60cm ?

    Thanks.

Depends where u are, I used to have a 54cm dish in Cork which worked grand except for the very odd transponder in the rain but replaced it with Triax 78cm, its better going for proper size if u can. Why can't u just paint the rust if the brackets etc are ok

It's in Donegal. The bracket is rusted and the fixing bolts so I don't think it will last too long even if I paint it. I'll take a look at the Triax. :)

    For Donegal, I suggest a Triax TD64 as a minimum, which is 60cm x 65cm in size.

WHat ^^^^^ he says. Or bigger. The 2D is fine but some other transponders ar down to 1/2 the signal copared with Wexford. Before the famous Donegal rain.

Just don't go with cheap dish, it ain't worth it. Triax are decent hard wearing sturdy dishes, the 80cm was only 10 euro dearer than 60cm hence why I got it but your choice at end of day.
