In aid of "The Irish Horse Welfare Trust" on Saturday the 1st of September. I don`t know if its being directly organised by them. I don`t have the no. of the man organising it on me, you will need to get a sponsorship card. The meeting point is the G.A.A. carpark in Glenealy at 11 am.

I will add the number once I get hold of it. I`m hoping to rent a horse/pony/rocking horse to do it.

Sounds great. I know people who are going. And also people who rent horses out. Have a great day. The sponsored rides are a great way of giving back. The hunts around the country do great jobs raising funds for well deserving charities.

I'd love to do it... but I've only really been riding a handful of times in the last year. Do you reckon it would be fast? I'm so unfit, my legs would turn to jelly if it were demanding (and I'd just slide off :D). Is it organised by the Brays?

Name and number here: Derek on 087 259 5325 for a Sponsorship Form.

No idea if it would be fast, I imagine there should be a good mix. It seems to be organised by one person by the flyer.

Its for the construction of a facility for neglected and abandoned horses.

we got this flyer at the yard too. id love to go but mare is out to grass until 1st week in september and no transport anyway

fits they are never fast mostly trotting with the out random canter if you are lucky!

excellent way to desensitise over excited horses to lots of company and goings on without having to worry about a pyscho bolt when the going picks up!

AHHH lots of trotting is SO hard on the legs!! (I remember this from the few hunts i did) Mine used to start shaking with exertion!! But then again, im not very fit :)

Sounds like a lovely day out, theres one on down Roscommon/Strokestown area soon too organised by the North Roscommon Riders Club, its very soon though...

Im not participating myself so i dont have info off hand but if anyone is interested let me know!

I'm probably neither fit nor rich enough to go out on this day... although I probably could borrow a horse if I had access to transport.

Was accused of losing my bottle yesterday... as people are offering to let me ride their horses loads, but I'm only really interested in riding my own.
I'm just not a happy hacker really, always have to have some goal in sight.
