Ok I had no stats on villain at the time as I had forgot to start importing hands in PT so HUD wasn't updating any stats.
Anyway my reads on him were that he seemed like a bad player, minraising pf a few times, and generally been quite active preflop, but quite passive postflop. I had 3bet him a good few times including one hand where he minraises UTG+1, I make it 28 next to act with JJ, he calls. Flop T high he checks I bet he calls. Turn blank check check, river blank he leads for 1/3rd pot I call he has QT.
My general image is quite aggressive on the 2 tables that he's at with me
    Anyway the hand:

Noble Poker 2.00/4.00, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

    saw flop

    Button ($1731.15)
    SB SB ($576.55)
    BB cardshark202 ($573.00)
    UTG ($635.20)
    UTG+1 ($448.20)
    CO ($47.85)

Preflop: cardshark202 is in the BB with Jheart.gif Jspade.gif
4 folds, SB raises to 6.00, cardshark202 raises to 24.00, SB calls 20.00.

    Flop (56.00) 6spade.gif 2heart.gif 5diamond.gif
SB checks, cardshark202 bets 46.00, SB calls 46.00.

    Turn (148.00) 7heart.gif
SB checks, cardshark202 bets 98.00, SB raises to 254.00

fold if he is passive. If you had bet the turn in the earlier hand and he had called, then we would know a lot more.

I would fold. I think its much more likely that he is having a brain fart than 88-TT. Its difficult to gauge without being there, how likely it is that he is getting pissed at your aggression.

I figured there was def a chance he was getting annoyed at my aggression. I had 4bet and 5bet bluffed on this table already though he hadn't seen that as they both got through.

I need you to teach me this one. I *always* get called (when I am bluffing) and they always fold when I have it.

i fold. i dont think his line looks very bluffy. doubt he turns 88/99 into a bluff either given the way he views you. and we're kinda deep(ish).

You have to 3bet the same guy at least 5 times, fold to his first 4bet then shove over his next one. Easy money

Well I folded the turn but I had doubts about it afterwards. I kinda wished I shoved

i like the fold, he will have a set or 2 pair most of the time imo

Ya I fold, I hate situations like this. How did the SB manage to raise to 6 pf though? Is the under-min-raise now in operation?!

He made it 8 actually, think the converter messed up

make it 32 pf, a player like you describe wont fold so you can raise more then 24 and get money in

Does anyone know why more and more players do this min raising PF in early position? I have noticed it alot recently when playing 0.5/1 and a lot of the times you get to see there cards they have pure rubbish and at best suited gapped connecters. I was sitting with one player one day who was on 2 of my tables and he kept raising to 2.33 in total so a raise of 1.33, I always 3 bet him to about 9 and 80% of the time he folded, I just couldn't get my head around it.

I think I fold this as well now as played. I would also check the turn and let him bet the river which I more than likely call unless its a massive overbet from him.

I expect he has you crushed or has a hand like A3h or A4h that has decent equity. Maybe 88 at worst.
Its a very good bet by villian imo - basically putting you to the test for your whole stack without putting all of his on the line.
    I think I would fold

Is it ever right to call here and call the river shove when the draws don't fill. Made a hero call yesterday with TPTK in a similar situation againt a guy who was playing agressively and firing multiple bullets on boards on which he had good equity. Felt good about it at the time but think it could be a losing play.
Equity v hand ranges confuses me

maybe check the turn again like you did in the first hand, it was a pretty bad card.

yeah i think this is a fold
i think checking the turn here is losing value in a blind battle against a passive player

i agree with this totally and its a very good point.
this is one example where checking behind n the turn for pot control is not correct IMO.
Fuzz made a good point as welll about how he reacts to hands like TP,TPTK ,TPGK on the turn.
seen as we dont know whether or not he over values such hands then i think given that he is passive post flop ,folding is correct.
having said that you should not really overlook the fact that he could be sick of your aggression as it could make him do this with a much wider range.
if i had seen him do this even once before with a draw or a TPTK on that baord i would shove.
