This is a very question but on Eiretyres there is two categories of tyres available summer & winter tyres. Am I correct in saying that Irish cars are fitted with summer tyres by default and its summer tyres I should order??. Sorry for such a basic question but just want to be sure.

I think so, that's what I ordered anyway and the tyres are exactly what I wanted,

Winter tyres have the studs in them for the colder icy climates ie Sweden. Summer tyres only for here all year long
