Slick 50 Engine Treatment

Anyone ever used Slick 50 in their engines? Supposed to coat the internals with something that helps reduce friction. It's been around a long long time, so just wondering if anyone has used it.

Irrelevant comments here would be along the lines of "all engine additives are rubbish"......all will be ignored. Experienced opinions required only.

This could be a quiet thread to be honest.

....thought it might be alright, but just in case anyone might have used it. I heard of the stuff probably about 20 years ago....well seems that long ago and my mechanic told me about it again recently, so I'll probably give it a go anyway.

I used it in 87, on an 84 Golf diesel. I remember thinking at the time that it made the car a bit quieter & smoother.

Slick fifty is only really of use in performance cars to get that little more out of them, I''ve seen it used in quite a few rally cars and i've used it myself in my Civic Type R and my Legacy B4 its good stuff but really only useful in top end engines
