Friend of mine was asking me last night if there's an Irish 'Rate my Employer' type site. I was convinced there was, and there was a discussion about it on boards one time. Does anyone remember this?

That website no longer seems to work. Are there any others?

Wasn't a similar type website "Rate My Solicitor" closed down for supposed repeated acts of defamation.

Personally I think these websites are rubbish.

Any managers reading this will know employees can be seriously in denial about their lack of abilities or poor attitude or poor work ethic, etc. In many cases the employee will blame the employer when in fact the employee should really be doing a bit of soul searching.

Of course some employees will be on the button with the reviews, but many won't, and it would be a shame to turn down a job because of some inaccurate review by an employee blaming everyone and everything except themselves.
