Howdy, spending a week in Galway city next week and just wondering if anyone from there can tell me if there are any good collectable/militaria shops that would have interesting odds and ends for sale? Maybe places off the beaten track.

    Cheers ;)

Only army shop I know of is on Shop street. More like a second hand shop than collectibles though.

There's no militaria specialist in Galway, but you could hit lucky in one of the shops.

Shops to have a wander in are Tempo on Cross St, Winding Stair on Mainguard St, Gallery Beag on Flood St, Connacht Antiques in Eyre Square, Cobwebs on Quay Lane, Tolco on Headford Rd, and there's a shop in Moycullen and another in Clarinbridge.

@Biko; a lot of collectables in Galway; it depends on what you collect.
