okay, we joked before about airsoft anonymous but has anyone else here started doing what i am doing....here is by example

something you see is priced in a DIY store or a shop at 90 euro?

do you think, hey thats 90 euro or do you say, fuk me, thats a dboys aeg right there??

i am now in the latter group....and it appears to be getting worse!!!

that dvd is a mag plus delivery, hmm is it worth it?

shoes, if i got them waterproof they would be good for playing?

sunglasses, (assuming we ever need them) do you think, i wonder what ansi rating they are and are they ballistic?

thats a nice shirt, but look if i got a blue bdu shirt it would double as a SWAT one....

i mean do we need a meal out, surely we can make something after all, i could get an s-system from eirsoft for that!!!

    etc...am i alone??

You're not alne. I find myself saving bolts and screws from things because they might come in handy for a conversion. And thinking things like "If I don't eat this week I may be able to get another AEG" :p

I am a compulsive buyer. I am always saving to buy something.
Once I want something everything else goes out the window.
I re-adjust my weekly budgets, sell stuff that I may have only a month or two,
and focus on what it is I want to buy.
Only thing is that as soon as I buy something there is always something else.

Bought some Lord of the rings models a few years back and now have
a room full of them, bought some modeling material molds for casting
and ended up with nearly everything from the range,

Bought a PS2 which I did not like and Sold and bought a PSP which I sold
to buy a GP2X which I sold to buy an Nintendo WII which I now may sell
to buy an AEG. With all that buying and spending of money I have
Zero savings and my bank balance has hovered around the same balance
for the last 7 years. As long as I have enough money to eat and pay the bills
    everything else is spent.

At the moment I need to save for a Garden Wall, new carpet for my hall and landing,
and also gotta learn how to drive and get a car on the road at some stage.
I keep putting these things off and splurge out on non essential luxury items.

But Im perfeetly Happy!!! doing this. The only pain is trying to Justify
it to girlfriend/Parents when they call down and see something new and
my workmates who often see me get stuff they consider stupid/weird/childish
    delivered to work.

I have my Opera browser setup so that it automatically opens certain websites when I launch it, including several retails sites. Currently, over 80% of the sites opened are airsoft related. But I can't say I'm addicted to buying airsoft stuff. I've only ever made 3 orders. I'm pretty sensible with my money and won't spend money unless I have it (no loans, large credit cards bills etc)

Like Fiach, I also save up little screws and bolts in case I need them for repairs etc.

I don't have a problem. I used to have a problem, but I accepted it. Since I accepted it, it is no longer a problem.

Therefore I do not have a problem, and neither do any of you (if you accept that you have a problem) ;)

I used to base my project costs against games. For example I'd try to decided whether I wanted to buy ArmA: Armed Assault on the PC or implement my design for that laser trip sensor (incidentally the laser trip won the day and ever since it's been sitting on my shelf doing naff all). It's starting to go toward airsoft stuff but it's more along the lines of
"I can buy that Volkswagen Golf and finally get my ass back on the road OR I can get that VFC BAR and have enough money to re-start my car fund"
