Broken Wii

    Hi Guys,

My Wii killed my resident evil 4 disc last night :( I was playing away when the screen went black and came up with a disc not readable error so I did the usual, reset the Wii, took out the disc and cleaned it etc but it's still the same. The thing is, there is a pretty deep, circular scratch the whole way round the CD so while I am gonna take it into GameStop or something and get them to clean it, I don't really see that working. I can start a new game fine so putting another game in to see if it works won't really tell me anything and I am loathe to play Zelda or one of my other games for about 20 hours to see if the same thing happens, because I have no doubt it was the Wii at fault.

I read on a few forums this morning that people have been getting this problem when they have the Wii standing up but mine has always been sat down because it only fits into the cabinet that way, so that's not it.

Anyway, I have emailed Nintendo and I am waiting for them to get back to me but I wanted to see if anyone has had this happen or has any suggestions?

    Thanks
