[REQ]: Current best Wii prices/packages?

Hi All,

Dropped this in the bargains forum as a request, but I thought it might be better suited here?
Previously, the consensus was that Argos had the best deal on Wii. 249.99 for the console and then 284.99 if you include any game (e.g. Wii Play).
The price (called two Argos stores) is now listed as 269.99, and there doesnt appear to be a package which allows you to include Wii Play for 284.99 as there was previously.
Given that the console is now the same price as Smyths etc., where is the best current deal for a Wii + Wii Play, or Wii + a decent game ?

Saw that too, was tempted to get that deal and all!

Wii + Wii Play for just under €285 was deadly.

Most bundles seem to be made up of crap games, Game had bundles where you were limited to what games you chose (mostly crappy stuff).

Must check Harvey Norman and Xtravision this weekend.

I got mine just today for €269 in Gamestop (henry St. Dublin) and it came with a choice of:

Far Cry Vengeance
Monster 4x4
and a few other crap ones.

I got Far Cry, but haven't played it yet cos i got that Mario Football thingy for €50 and haven't stopped playing it (won my 2nd match 22-0).

I called my nearest gamestop, and they told me that their deal was Wii + any game for 300 euro. Did you get an offer of a free game with the Wii for 269.99 ?

Ah nuts, I thought that the price change in argos was a misprint on their website. So am I right in guessing theres absolutely nowhere in the country that sells the wii at rrp? Blahdvd have it at 260 euros and I think the postage is free...

In Henry St. Dublin, i got Wii + Wii Sports + Far Cry: Vengeance for €269. They do another deal where you get 2 games + Wii for €299, so i suspect that is what they were talking about. The games have to come from a selection of about 8 and they look fairly ordinary.

I had a Harvey Norman small catalogue dropped in the door today and it has the Wii Sports Pack for €255.

Do you mean wii sports pack as in those crappy plastic white yolks that the Wii remote slots into? This costs around 13 euro normally. Still, 14 euro cheaper than Argos.

Actually its 259.00 and it says its the nintendo wii sports pack.

Just got a wii + wiiSports + wiiPlay (and extra wiimote) for 299.95 in Smyths. Decent enough price, you can add any other game to the package for 339.95 too.
