    Is there any decent program for making gifs, simple text for the signature in an outlook message. Have tried a few trial ones that use simple .ppt to .gif but they are fairly jittery.

    Any help appreciated

    I use Paint Shop Pro 7 (V old version) it has a addon called Animation Shop.
    Else try The Gimp, I believe it supports gif file creation.

    Paint Shop Pro does a decent job alright. You could download a trial version or, as buildabong has said, use the GIMP [free].
