    good news, it works, got it from the states off e-bay and it works no problems whatsoever. Apparently nobody has really bothered region encoding discs.

    I'd say that movie would look amazing on blu-ray. It looked amazing in the cinema anyway.

    It does, got my copy last Friday. Awesome movie.
    Got Shooter on blu ray too, great action movie and it looks absolutely stunning in HD.

    Off topic but is "Shooter" really that good? Didn't think it got good reviews?

    Amazon in the States is great - "300" isn't even out on DVD here until October yet it's been out on Blu-ray since the end of July over there! I also got "The Departed" on Blu-ray from Amazon ages ago and it's only available from Play.com and Hmv.co.uk from next Monday!

    I do note though on the packaging that it states that it is not for sale outside the US or Canada yet Amazon have no problem with this!!

    Also, with the Euro being currently stronger that the Dollar - It works out at about €25 which includes $10 I paid for "expediated shipping"!!

    also, check out movietyme.com - I got 300 from them for $31.50 (postage included) which worked out at about €23. They dispatched on Thurs 2nd Aug and I had the disc on Tuesday 7th - not too shabby + they have a complete list of US blu-rays that works on euro PS3's
