Can anybody recommend a decent running track that can be used for training on the northside of Dublin?

The only one I know apart from Santry is ALSAA but the chances of parking your car and just going for a few circuits on these is slim Im guessing

Not Northside, but there is a new running track Irishtown stadium.
Its right beside the eastlink if this is any help.

Don't see why. I'm a member of ALSAA and have often done the cross country route around the boundary and a few laps on the track before and after this on the track to warm up and warm down.

Nobody has ever challenged me or asked for my ID card so you should be fine.

Happy days :D I was just hoping someone would verify my theory that I should be OK for a run there.

I used to run on the track in the Alsaa for years and the back fields. I’m not a member and never have been and I’ve never once been challenged…ever! I just park up….tog out in the car and off I go.
Haven’t been running there regularly lately cause I’m training for the Dublin Marathon. But I met up with a pal and ran there last week on it. Same thing. Never had a problem.

It's just east of Clontarf Road DART station. You'll see it clearly in the satellite view.
