Skype WebCam question

I have a Targa (Lidl) Laptop with a built-in webcam. The cam is a Bison Cam NB Pro with a max resolution of 1280 x 960. This works fine and gives a nice moving picture in its own little app called BisonCap.
However when I use it with Skype it seems as though Skype is only picking up the first 320 x 240 (or so) pixels. So in other words Skype only picks up one smallish corner of the whole picture.
The laptop is running Vista and I have installed the latest drivers for the cam from Targa. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust this that I can see..
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you adjust the properties for the cam from within Skype.

Can you reduce the resolution of the cam?

I can't find any way to reduce the resolution from within Skype. I can reduce it from within the BisonCap app but that does not improve the situation when I go to Skype and Skype wont detect the cam while BisonCap is running.

From looking around there seems to be a couple of problems with that camera.

One is the drivers may not be upto date.

The other is that the BisonCap application may be running when skype needs to use it.

I don't know the details of you make etc but your best bet maybe to post to the skype forums.
