bank - I think its either TSB or ulster bank that offer decent rates for thirty day deposits..

You can't get a decent return in 4-6 weeks unless you buy 3k worth of drugs and sell them to your friends at twice the cost. This however could land you in jail for a period of no less than 10 years.

3K for 30 days @ 5%? I'm not going to try working it out on a daily calculation but probably less than a tenner after DIRT. Not worth the time it takes to go to the bank to open an account.

Money clip? Seriously though, you won't get much for that small an amount of time. An idea might be to lodge it with your local credit union to build up a history with them if you ever want to arrange a loan or something.

Prize bonds? The gamble may be worth the hassle of buying them and cashing them in.

That's actually a pretty good idea.
