    Hi All,

A friend is driving an old Honda 50 style motorbike that has fairly big but thin tyres, which he says regualarly causes him punctures. Is there such a thing as a product that temporarily but effectively can patch up the puncture to get him to where he’s going so he can sort out the puncture property. (eg some form of solution product that you can blast on the inside rim of the tyre). If there is such a product and you know where to locate it, details will be most welcome.

    Thanks In Advance

I had a small slow puncture the other day so I stopped at a petrol station and bought a can of Tyre Inflator. Basically it's a can of pressurised latex foam that will seal the small hole (after removing the object responsible for the puncture). Cost me less than €10 EUR. Very handy!

I got this stuff put into my car tyres, never got a puncture though. It's always in the tyre and when you get a pucncture it fills the hole. Will see if I can find the details when I get home

BTW is it a tubeless tyre? Only asking cause of the old Honda 50 type bike. If not you are fairly limited with how to stop getting punctures

You can use the foam tyre repair stuff as mentioned above. Most garages should have it, their are different brands. Always store it in a sock, inside a plastic bag in the bike. Ive seen them punctured under seats, its not pretty.:D

You could also consider slime in the tyres. Its suitable for tubed or tubless tyres, and it stops the puncture as it happens, by sealing up the hole.

    Edit: snap, del..

I've had a handful of punctures in 12 years of riding and nigh on 100,000 miles.

He needs to stop riding in the gutter - puncture city.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
