What would be your favoured AI Football Final. I know what alot will say but would it be most people here? Also, not that it will matter, your choice will show to others. Just for interests sake as i think 2 from the 6 left know what they want. Just want to see what everyone would like as the final. :)

Edit, mistake in the Poll, i left out a few. Dublin V Monaghan shouldnt be there. It should be Monaghan V Cork, so a vote for that is a vote for Mon V Cork. I think the rest is right....very confusing!!

Not at all, basically i think all Dubs and Meathmen want to meet eachother. Just want to see what the rest of the country thinks would be best.

Only 1 final i could see being bad and that Cork Kerry, but still could be great. Hopefully whatever it is will be good.

Actually, very small number of northerners here. I noticed that before. Only seen 1 Derry fan and basically no Tyrone or Armagh with a few of the others. Weird that really. We need more.

Don't know why there's less Northerners. Strange alright.
They you are again, skeptics. Bloody conspiracy theorist. Paranoramal:D Anyway I'm away, it gets brighter sooner up North! Our birds are smarter than yours, sing earlier in the morning:D

Kerry v Meath would probably be the best final of all the choices available. Because the 2 teams (now) employ the long ball strategy and it would be interesting to see how each defence would cope with their opponents startegies.

The worst final would be Cork v Dublin as Cork are labouring badly to beat teams that are, on paper, much lower down the food chain than them. Dublin, because I dont believe that they are the best team on their side of the draw, and seem to be more a team of superbly fit athletes rather than natural footballers.

However, of all the teams left in the championship I would like to see Monaghan win Sam as they have never won it before. But I can't see that happeneing....

I'd like to see a Monaghan v Meath final. With Monaghan winning Sam. Voted for that. I think whats more likely to happen, is either a Dublin v Meath, or Kerry v Meath final. I'm pretty sure Meath will beat Cork to get there. Kerry and Dublin still have two tough games each to get there.

    It's 19 for and 15 against a Dublin final.

    Bloody Dublin bias :D

I knew Dubs v Meath would get the most votes. I don't know why anyone woul want to see that, it would be bound to be a low-scoring slug-fest with five or six sent off.
I voted for Cork v Derry 'cause I think Cork would win.

Thought there was another Derry person on here.:D

Actually Derry would make an interesting oponent in a final. Good contrast from mass defence at times to good attacking play.

I'm from Tyrone. On GAA boards a very large number of people are from the North, but on this site it seems kinda more orientated towards the Republic of Ireland and all that jazz.

Welcome News for you. Lonely here at times defending Ulster football but I see on another you've already got stuck in! Keep up the good work!

These Meath and Dub fans! Get to a AI SF or QF now and again! You'd swear they'd win the AI recently or something! :D

Dublin v Cork as my old man's from Cork and brought me up in Dublin, so there'd be great slagging, esp if we got tickets together :)

Kerry v Meath would probably be the best footballing game to watch in my opinion, think Dublin v Meath would be intense but scrappy

I voted Dublin v Meath because the question demands a partisan answer. But the gap between desire and reality is long and treacherous, as every dublin fan who has seen hope born in july and aborted in september (or august) knows too well. 2007 has been a year of ferment and predictions will be crapshots until after this weekend, but we have some form to go on. The one team that i have been disapponted with so far have been Cork, who I thought near had the best of Kerry in the MFC, but were disappointing against Sligo, and without Masters should be fatally wounded. Overall I think the championship is wide open, injuries and tactics will be the keys to Sam. For what it's worth, I'm dreaming that Dublin will deliver two things tomorrow against Derry: a tight operation between half-back and defense, and a couple of stellar perormances from Vaughan, and Alan Brogan. You can't capture the Championship without some heroic individual perfomances and you won't get away with it leaving the front door open. I was at CP for both of QFs last week and Meath looked really good, but if it comes to that, if, then we will go in with the advantage

if it all goes pear-shaped, then I'd enjoy seeing Monaghan or Derry win it; the trophy may be fought for in Dublin city centre, but the fire which fuels it all comes from places far from the centre of the media's universe, be it An Gaeltacht, Ballyboden or Balinderry.

    bring on the dub vibrations!

As a neutral, a Dublin and Meath AI seems the most interesting to me at this point. I think Meath are good enough to exact revenge for that leinster loss too back in June.

The only other final i can see happening is Meath/Kerry, in this instance i think Kerry's guile and experience will be too much for the Meathmen.

As an avid Kerry supporter I have attened and been present at three galling hammerings at HQ

    1. Meath
    2. Tyrone
    2. Armagh

Now it is rumoured that many of the present Kerry team members stuck around to get one more crack at Tyrone, in their absence Meath is a great plan B.

That said, they should also consider that putting away any of the above is difficult when you cannot dispose of Monaghan untill the 72nd minute, but however...
