Myxamotosis?

Hi all, our (Dublin weat) area has been inundated with rabbits lately, probably because the fileds around my house are some of the few remaining here because of all the building going on.

anyway, tonight I came across a very ill rabbit, its fur was missing in spots, and its eyelids were completely swollen over.
I gues it could have been attacked or may be very old and on its way out, but somethnig in the back of my head makes me think of myxamotosis. i'm sure it makes rabbits eyes sweel up.

    anyone any ideas on this?

Also, is it worth notifying the dept of Ag or anything since there are cattle on the land?

Sounds like myxamatosis alright but it has been ticking over for many years. It does not affect cattle and there is no requirement to inform the Department.
