The last few days firefox has been going blank (blank screen) and not responding. I loose all the task bars to refresh and can not get the bars back so have to shut down the internet session.

what system are you using?....what revision of software are you running. and what version of Firefox are you using?...

p.s Firefox 2.0.0.6 is working fine for me on Apple OSX 10.4.10

I am using XP. Sorry what do you mean by revision, I am using 2.0.0.6. There has been a problem with it not loading a file on an update recently. could be the cause of the problem.

I never let Firefox or Thunderbird update themselves. Thunderbird has been corrupted every time I do. Manually download and install instead or set the program to tell you when updates are available instead of automatically downloading and installing.

Have you tried reinstall Firefox by downloading it manually?

It was a file problem because of not installing itself properly, fixed now. Thanks for your help!
