[REQ] 32" HD-Ready LCD

    Hi all,
Looking for an OK 32" LCD TV (HD-Ready). It doesn't have to be super duper 1080p, I really want it as a regular TV and for playing X-Box 360 in HD (so it would need appropriate connections)

Also - looking to buy in a bricks & mortar store.

    I've seen this one in Xtra-Vision : http://www.xtravision.ie/xvElectrical.asp?id=386
Does anybody know if they're OK ? Not sure if it has component input for the 360 though...

Anyhow - any suggestion would be great. I'm looking to spend around the €600-€650 mark.

    Thanks !

I actually have that tv,its ok...sound is good, picture is nothing special, its very plasticy and dvds look awful on it...Its fine for the playstation and connecting my laptop to it...All in all im kinda pissed I didnt get a samsung for an extra 100 euro at the time...

I would recommend either of these two tv's

How do you connect them ? Is there a VGA type connection ?

The Samsung looks good, but returning anything that size if there are problems would be a total nightmare - that's why I don't want to buy this online.....

There's a vga connection which I use to connect my laptop with...picture with that is very good..its what I mainly use the tv for...watching xvid and such...

Its a fine tv....just a bit basic compared to other brands....My brother brought his ps3 down a few weeks ago,and it was amazing..So im guessing the xbox 360 would also be class....

Like I said the only negatives with it,is watching sky digital and dvds...they look slightly worse than on my old normal definition tv,which I didnt expect...If your not going to buy online then its a good deal imo,not perfect though:D

I just biught a Samsung LE32S81 from Komplett.ie looks and sounds very good. Got it last week €649 and €14 delivery. They are operated by dimco in Ireland and they said that if anything happens it i have a 2 yr warranty and I can bring it to dimco in santry and they will replace it or give a refund. Its a REALLY nice TV for that price and has 2 HDMI outlets :D

    Wow.
So basically I can buy it online, but have support from Santry ?
How did you find this out ? Did yo contact Komplett.ie about it, or did they tell you this when you ordered it ?

I'm very interested in the one on Komplett, but I'd like to get assurance that the crowd in Santry can service it if the need arises.

teflon - do you have contact details for dimco - I can't even find a "Dimco" in Dublin on the phonebook ?

    Dear Sir,
    Thank you for your query.

If in the unlikely event of a fault in your purchase you could return it for refund, repair or replacement through the Dublin address. If I can help you with this or any other information then please don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards,

Is the postage cost standard or just for Santry? What about further up the Country!

    Cheers.

DeadLock, Dimco are on the old airport road beside the Mercedes garage. IF your close by you should pop up.

They will not let you collect from Warehouse. Has to be posted out unfortunately but that €14 is for postage to all of Ireland as far as I know. I was in dublin but you could check with Komplett.ie to make sure. I received mine 4 days after ordering. Pretty good really.

My only problem is that now I need a small black LCD stand as the old one I have was a silver one and it doesnt look the best. Anybody any recommendations? Has to be small to fit neat in a corner.

    Cheers,
    TEFLON
