    Looks good to me, though I hate the fact that you can only choose Windows Vista Business. Is it the same as Home Premium?

    I see on the bottom right hand side is says €70 off ex vat and free shipping. Do you get both off? I went through the checkout process and only got the free shipping.

    Anyone else has some opnions about those specs?
    I was thinking about changing my laptop as well (originally to something smaller then 15'4;)) and this one here seems to be a good gaming one.

    to answer my own question, the €70 is already off the price!

    That's pretty sweet. I'd upgrade the Vista ultimate for the extra €50, for the entertainment stuff, and ditch the three year warranty. It should come to around €709 with that deal.

    Can anyone buy off Dell business?

    The alternative is the Acer Aspire 5920 at www.laptopsdirect.ie. It costs just under €1200 but you get all this:

    * Design: Curved glossy black lid and clean white interior
    * Processor: Powerful Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz (x2), 800MHz FSB, 4MB L2 Cache
    * RAM: 2GB Fast DDR2 RAM! (2 x 1024Mb)
    * 1GB Turbo Memory - for a faster boot time
    * Hard Drive: 160GB Hard Disk
    * Screen: 15.4" Widescreen TFT (1280x800 - 16:10) with CrystalBrite Technology
    * Optical Drive: DVD Re-writer (DVD±RW Super Multi Double Layer)
    * Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 1GB of TurboCache memory - ideal for playing the latest games!
    * Wireless LAN: 802.11a/b/g/n - Wireless Internet Connection
    * Battery Life (Depending on Use): 3.5 hours 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    * Weight: 3kg
    * Warranty: 1 Year Collect and Return (Europe-wide)- Upgradeable to 3 Years for only £49 - Call for details!
    * Operating System: New Windows Vista Home Premium
    * 1GB of Intel Turbo Memory

    yes but if u look closely it wont be available for another 4 weeks so be 5-6 weeks before you receive it...and in any compter terms thats ages esp with new processors being released in comin month or 2...price diff is due to 3 year hardware support they put u down for...change it to 2 or 1 yr basic n u save €120 or so :)

    Please be advised that there currently is an delivery time of approximately 4 weeks on Vostro 1500. We apologise for the inconvenience. For faster delivery, we have a range of great offers running on Vostro 1000 systems right now, which may also meet your requirements.
    Why has the price increased?
    For your added protection the above price includes an upgraded service package. To reach the advertised price please select a downgraded service from the Hardware Support section below.

    Hey, just wondering is it worth upgrading the monitor to TrueLife™ for 20 euro, and the battery from a 6 cell to a 9 cell for 10 euro? That hardly means a 50% battery time increase for just 10 euro, does it??
