Peugeot 207 Cruise control question

anyone have a Peugeot 207 or 307 407 with Cruise control ? If so can you advise does the Cruise control display display a live speed ( digital speedometer) when switched on but not engaged Mine did up to 5 days days ago but doesn't anymore and the Garage says this is normal
