okay...its taken a while...if i see another page form google, i will puKe blood...

but i digress so here is what i have found...

party poppers, yes those stupid christmas things...or better still the wedding ones..now i didnt know this but weddings are using spring loaded confetti rockets, some even using compressed air...who would have thunk it..weddings are more dangerous then airsoft...they are using rockets when drunk (WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!!), but yet some people are worried about us running around a field...at least we are sober, but i digress.

so if you dont believe me, check out 150134196767 on ebay.

these are legal, there is no explosive charge and some of them spread 8 meters personally i think the 8 meters ones are a bit much, there is a 2,4 metre ones also. to be honest, if paul at hrta is okay, i would be tempted to try this...that would be hilarious...and as it happens there is sites in ireland that sells them as well.

they are set off with a ring pull. so here is my thoughts..spray one or 2 green, tie it to a tree, run some fishing line around the nearest tree tied to the ring, run the fishing line across the path, tie it off. placing it on the pathway to the tanker...watching attackers look like 'de dunbelieveables' covered in confetti would be worth it i think

the other thing is the small party poppers, yes the christmas ones. get 5 or 10 bb's (the lighest ones or dried peas), take the cardboard cap off, take out the paper streamer, replace with the 'ammo', replace cardbaord cover, tie off as above....obviosuly they are small, so the attackers get a fighting chance, but nothing to stop you using 4 or 5 of them i suppose.

all modifications:: USE YOUR GOGGLES FOR GODS SAKE & AT YOUR OWN RISK

    claymore ( homebrew)
yes iknow, i know rsov is selling them, yes i know keith is really really nice and you want to have his baby, BUT, they are very cheap to make once you build the first one.
its all about rat traps, disgusting i know but there you have it....if anyone is interested i will post what i found, but it aint difficult, just awkard. one intersting thing i did find is a guy who built these himself and each 'claymore' was linked via fishing line to the next so he built a sequencer of sorts to fire as many off together as he liked. as it happens in my earlier forays into building science fiction models, i dont think it would be too hard to get it remote controlled either, but i have not searched for that yet. for a laugh i might even build a spray template for 'face toward enemy' for a laugh.

i would also propose if we are going to try these it is only fair on the attackers to warn so a warning sign should be put up.

i also bumped into a mine by mad bull that you use gas and talcum powder and its only about 40 dollars in cost.

finally, i think it was kdouglas who tried this but you can also get the joke shop smoke bombs and use these as they are legal also...only issue is you need to light them. I have contacted several theatrical and special effects websites that sell safe smoke bombs also...i will check if these are legal here before going any further. i know of one who ships internationally and it can go via plane as it is safe which is always a good sign as it means there is nothing dangerous in them that might upset customs here for example but again i need to check this further..

my search for safe nades continues...the only ones that seem legal are the ones that dont seem to work terribly well using baking soda and citric acid (relax relax its orange juice acid!!!) and water.

thoughts, suggestions, rants, raves, random thoughts...complaints must start with 'WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!'

Those confetti things on ebay would be a good laugh. Bit pricy at 2.50 sterling each though!

Kdouglas stopped using them because they're toxic. Shame really.

yep, i cant remember but their is an irish site selling the smaller ones and a bit cheaper...but in one way if they are a bit pricey it will limit them. i would hate to see laneway filled with them...

i know this is a little off topic but seeing as how smoke bombs were mentioned

emergency smoke pots are seemingly an uncontrolled entity in this country as well. the ones for on board boats i mean can be bought freely on irish based boating sites and these are essentially large versions of the airsoft 90 second smoke grenade thus this leaves me asking the question if both smoke bombs and smoke pots are available are the airsoft smokes actually classed as pyrotechnic devices ?

I'm not sure but I've heard that those are ilegal touse unless you are in an emergency situation or are training but feel to prove me wrong.
