I know there's a thread regarding this somewhere on the forum, but for me that boardtracker search is an utter piece of junk so I've been unable to find it.

Looking to get a 35mm f2 Pentax lens along with a USB powered external HD from the site.
What are the chances of being done for tax?

The chances are very high if not guaranteed unfortunately. I think all the couriers will apply the customs/VAT and slap on an admin charge for themselves too.

B&H will not hide the cost of you're purchase so you will definitely be caught for tax, Not like some suppliers from Hong Kong

Hmm, that's not really what I wanted to hear.

I seem to remember people saying in the other topic that they weren't getting caught for tax on BH orders. I could be wrong though.

Can you point me in the direction of any respectable & reasonably priced HK sellers?

    cheers

    Hi Richie X

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Kea-Photo

I have purchase a good few items from Kea and never had a problem
    try this link
The other option from B&H is, post it to someone ie friend, relative or someone going on hols could pick it up for you
NB There is tax of 8% approx to be added to the price. if you post it within new York or buy it over the counter

    Yeah, I've noticed Kea before.

Unfortunately they don't do Pentax lens :(

What's the rate of tax I'll be done for on something from the US?

Add 21% to the purchase price plus cost of carriage.
