This is a hand from the €1-2 euro game in the macau last night playing six handed. The table has been playin fairly loose so far i am on the button with 2 limpers i pick up 9h9s and raise to €17 a pretty standard raise i have approx €350 behind me.

BB calls he is playing tight aggresive so far he has €90 behind him

UTG calls he has been playing loose aggresive so far showing small bluffs seems to be after drink he is playin €220 approx

The other limper makes the call

    Flop comes 9c 3c 2c

BB moves all in for €90

    UTG shoves for €220

    Other limper folds

Interested to see what other players would have done in this situation?

Imo it does depend on the players, i think that BB is pushing with the Ac, and UTG has bottom set, and therefore you should call, though i hate being in these positions...

    FYP :D

FWIW given UTG's description I think it's a call. Don't fold sets etc etc

    Tough spot alright.

I guess a fold could be excused here as you don't have much invested. If you had called the 90 and then the guy moved in it's an insta-call.

I'm calling anyway, one of em could quite poss have an overpair. If the shorty wins, you still stand to pick up the side pot too.

Very marginal imo. You've got 10 outs I think if you're behind to both anyway.

Interesting hand. At first I thought it was a tricky enough decision, but for this kind of seemingly borderline decision, doing the maths proved very helpful.

Ok, first up we gotta realise this is the Macau Cash game. Therefore, we have to adjust our opponent's ranges accordingly. Put simply, their range is ATC (Any Two Cards). From experience, I've found that this range doesn't change regardless of preflop action, flop action, turn action and even river calldown action.

So, then, you gotta figure out what your equity is vs. two opponents holding random cards.

Approximately, it's 74% with what you're holding. Obviously this merits a snapcall.

However, your decision was so basic that it's really not challenging to think about such situations. What you gotta look at is how you would react under more marginal situations.

e.g. You have 94o, with no club in your hand.

However, if you have J9o with no club in your hand, you still have 44% equity vs two ATC opponents. Thus, a call is correct given the pot odds that you are getting. In fact, folding would be a horrendously -EV play.

In fact, your kicker is pretty much irrelevant, as 94o would still hold almost 40% equity and thus merit a snapcall likewise.

It gets tricky with hands like no pair, no flush draw.

AJo without a club in your hand for instance would leave you with about 25% equity, which would make it a breakeven call with this flop texture and action in this cash game.

So yeah, AJo+ call with, anything less throw it away.

btw I presume most people saying this is a though call are levelling. This is the easiest call ever. absolutely no thought needs to go into it.

I think that it was an impressive call and I gotta hand it to ye that you had the cajones to make the call. Fair enough even had some one the made flush you still had outs. You were always ahead and the best hand won going down so top drawer buddy!!:) :)

Wasn't the limper that folded the hand a lucky boy??
