Any of the specialty wine shops in around Dublin carrying Cloudy Bay?

    Preferably the Sauivgnon Blanc?

Yup, McHughs... both the Sauv Blanc and Pinot Noir. The Malahide Road have 8 bottles of the Sauv Blanc at the moment and the Killbarrack road have 10 bottles of Sauv Blanc and 3 bottles of Pinot Noir

a bit out of the way... but might be worth the trip...

    what are they retailing at?

Anywhere on the southside by any chance?

Sauv Blanc is 26.95 and the Pinot is 28.95. I wouldn't know any off hand but i would say giving McCabes in Blackrock a ring. They might be able to point you in the right direction

Have a bottle or two in the wine shop in Perrystown. Around €30 - €35 i think just the Sauivgnon Blanc though. I'd ring ahead to make sure though (01)4925263 Ask for Chris!

All Molloys liquour (what the hell is with my spelling today?!?) stores should stock them, I know for a fact that the one in Nutgrove have some bottles. Priced at €26ish. Sauv Blanc, dunno bout the pinot, don't think we do many New Zealand reds.

Stores all over the Southside though so there's sure to be one near you, just check ring ahead and see.

Harvey Nichols used to get millions of it when I worked there when it opened first. It was slightly LESS expensive than everywhere else.

I work in O'Briens now. The Ballybrack store had some about a month ago, gone now; the Blackrock store had some until about a week ago, gone now. Not sure if any of the other shops in the group have any left. All their numbers are on the website www.wine.ie, maybe call them up. It's E27.95.

O'Briens Blackrock do have Cloudy Bay Chardonnay (E29.96) in stock. It's supposed to be excellent.

Try O'Briens' "Astrolabe" Sauvignon Blanc if you can't get CB. It's just E16 and has beaten Cloudy Bay in blind tastings.

I am sure you will all be dead jealous to know that it is no problem to get it here in Oz - retails for around $20 I think.
Also I have been to the Cloudy Bay vineyard and tasted at their cellar door. They make an amazing dessert wine which they do not export - but, wow it was tasty.
