iIts hard to say with out any reads,
i can be a busted draw, cant see him doing it with KQ.

You dont beat a whole lot of hands here so i say a fold on the turn tbh.

Min raising has really started to annoy me now as every one does it in any situation now, even bluffs!

I call here, but as I've said before, I'm sh1t.

Such a classic line for a bluff setup. If he's anything other than a nit, I call.

    lol!

i'd fold btw. and your turn sizes always seem way too small.

I think you can find a fold here. I dont see a whole lot you beat. maybe a busted draw but the turn min-raise rules that out as far as I see.

I think he has the 8, flat call the flop bet and min-raise the turn, he obviously wants you in the hand

On my bet sizing i think i could use some advice, alot of people have commented on it lately in saying too small but after asking them to explain a bit further i have got no replies.

Ive read a good few 2+2 links on this but im obviously not grasping it.
So in this case or in general what are we trying to achieve by a bigger raise, is it makes it harder for someone to min bet me without committing themselves? The thing is im consistent, ill do this with AA-KK here too and a set so im not just betting smaller because of my hand strength, say on a $20 turn i might bet $14-16 but when its bigger like above i tend to bet just over half unless i think there a calling station.

My thinking on this is i have a good hand but not a hand that i want to get all in with so im essentially trying to control the pot size to keep it managable. Lets say i bet $25 on that turn and he calls then theres $78.50 in the pot on the river and hes only $53 behind, im pretty much committed to call another 1/2 pot bet on the river with my hand as with so little left compared to the stack sizes its hard to judge the strength of a 1/2 pot bet which more or less puts me all in and i dont particularly like getting all in with just TPTK epecially if its not AK.

If i bet $18 like i did then theres $64 in the pot on the river and $70 left behind, if he bets half the pot then i can call risking just over half the pot aswell as the fact i can get a better idea of the stregth of his hand depending on wheter he bets more than half the pot or not, i can see someone pushing with KQ-QJ or a missed flush in the 1st scenario feeling a bit committed to the hand and trying to win the pot but in the 2nd scenario they can get away from a missed flush or bet small with KQ-QJ feeling there hand is possibly good. Is this not the whole idea of being in position that i can control the pot size and keep it manageable with this type of holding, i really hope someone can give me some insight into this as im obviosuly missing something

I think the bet sizing on the turn is fine

I try to bet between 2/3 and 3/4 pot on turn. 18 into 28.50 is 63% so this is on the low end of the scale but tbh I think it's fine.

I know its stupid, but no matter how many times i play with it - i rarely ever win - won more with 72o than with AQ - :D
