i took this tonight about an hour or so ago while i was sitting board and looking out the window.
I noticed the reflection on the water and thought id give it a try.

A little bit of work with the saturation slider and shadow/highlight and heres the finished result.

Any advice on how it could be better?
Again i cant seem to get it to link back to flickr, so the link to my page is in my sig.

    Cheers guys.....

Black? How would i go about that? i was toying with darkening the foreground a little as i think it takes the eye a little, would that suffice? The weathers actually been quite good the last couple of days...fingers crossed!

Well, there's no darkness in the scene, if you open up a historgram, I'm sure you'll see there's very little on the left of it, increasing this should add a lot more depth into it!

Both the foreground and horizon will benefit from it - the horizon feels a bit too bright for the skyline, and the foreground seems to run from midtones to highlights.

Would have cropped off the top 1/4 too, but just wanted to show you the difference some blacks can do :)

Bah Oriel... I just wanted to show some contrast adjustments...not all that sharpening malarky.

Mike. If you don't stop scratching, it'll fall off.

hmm, I'm probably just being picky but if it were mine I'd remove the telephone pole's, they're more obvious on Oriel's version, but that's just me.

I'm obsessed with poles, there's a ton of them around me, ruining decent views and I'm constantly removing them

If you're going to ruin a perfectly good photo, ruin it well I always say.
