A bit of a quandary

I hate my job and I've just resigned.
I haven't yet accepted a new job that I've been offered in England.

My boss has just offered me a bonus of €5000 IN CASH  to stay until January. I'm tempted because it would come in fierce handy. Like paying off my credit card bill...
But I know that I'd only be staying for the money. And that he'd use it as a stick to beat me with.

    What would you do?

€5k in cash is a lot of loot.......so really comes down to how badly you want the money!!!!!

Take the job in England. You can save 5k yourself in no time.

The job in England is a new opportunity and who knows what doors it will open. Go for it!

Agreed - take the other job.

Unless they'd be willing to hold it open for you til next January lol. 5k isn't really that much money, and if you hate your job enough to leave I am guessing it would get worse not better over the few months til Jan.

What's the pay differential between this job and England? I imagine you would probably work up the €5k differential by January, especially when earning in sterling!

No amount of money is enough to stay in a job you hate. (Except for billions. And even then, I want half-days on Friday!)
