does anyone know the flaw in all Word editions whereby if you put in a certain code, you get a huge amount of pages consisting of a single repeated sentence about a fox and horse or something???

I have heard of / seen this alright in an older verion of word. Probably "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" or something like that. I think that uses every letter in the alphabet.

    It's not really a flaw ... it's a Word macro.

It can be useful if you are producing complex layouts or paginating, and you need dummy text to fit around graphics and other artefacts on a document.

It can also be useful to generate large blocks of text for font/typeface comparisions.
I know some IT goons who use this 'feature' to generate text for testing printers & printer drivers.
