I was playing in a home game yesterday and once we reached heads up the last player out was dealing for us. After he dealt the second hand, I announced a raise, was reraised all-in and we both showed up. Then it was noticed by one of the other eliminated players in the room that the dealer had started to shuffle the deck after he had dealt the hand. What is the ruling on this? Is it a redeal? or does the hand continue on?

Continue the hand. It is too late to rectify the shuffle, but loads of action has taken place. Deal out flop, turn and river, burning as normal.

Yup...once significant action has taken place the hand must continue....without a tip for the dealer either

Grand, the hand continued but I did feel a bit guilty for allowing it to when I turned over AKs and he had ATs and the flop came with two kings.
