Hi folks, just a quick query. I'm hoping to apply for the Gardai but, as is always the best plan, want to keep a couple of different options open in case I'm not succesful with my application. I'd also be interested in working as a Customs Officer, but I've never seen this position advertised, either through publicjobs.ie or revenue.ie. Does anyone have any information about this?

I think you join the service (Revenue?) first, then transfer into it.

Yes you must work in Revenue first. Then you apply for an internal competition to be a Customs Officer.
