I'll see if I can add "Sticky please" to the title. Great idea!

I can see certain benefits to this but I am also aware of the fact that it could be seen as advertising. I'll discuss it with Muffler and see what can be done.

lol, when i first read the op i thought..... "spam" and was expecting the poster to have less then 10 posts, but was gladly proved wrong

Maybe it could be stickied as a post where people can tell each other where to find plumbers, builders, etc?

I'm not fussed - if it's regarded as advertising, don't sticky it.

Its a link that will benefit some users here so in that regard it outweighs the spamming or advertising perception. The link will be posted on the forum in a couple of days its just that I cant tell you where yet.

Myself and smashey are discussing a couple of changes that we hope will improve this forum and we should be in a position to implement these changes in the next week or so.

I'm surprised that there isn't a 'house and home' subforum in Home & Garden...

I think the DIY part of the Gardening and DIY forum more than adequately addresses that.

Appears to me to be no more than a listing of advertised service providers. Despite the site telling readers no need to ask neighbours etc for recommendations, the site itself according to its own terms and conditions (Item 6. below- my highlights in bold) accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of the information. There are many sites similar to this this one and all claiming to offer similar services, in most cases there is little evidence of any validation and/or vetting of the advertisers etc. In the absence of any transparent vaildation process readers should treat such information listings as advertisements and the usual rule of caveat emptor should apply.
