Lads - im lookin at a combat jacket online the now from flecktarn. Now its been a long time since i was last measured up for acombat jacket so im wondering - normally im a 42-44 in shirt, t shirt, jumper etc. Jackets though....my coats are all 41s. Should i order the 41 combat jacket in this case....? This doesnt really make sense ot me given my 42-44 normal measurements. Anyone have any experience in the sizing of the buggers? I recall getting fitted and the jacket was quite snug, not too small...and not too big, so im tempted to say the 41 sounds about right.

    help!

OR....can this be bought off the rack in dublin for trying on sake?

Also..... anyone know where i can get trouser bungees?

dude if i was you i would go larger, you need a lot of movement and freedom to move. most nato style kit comes in a ranges of sizes that are standardised if i remember correctly.

    http://www.majorsurplusnsurvival.com/bdusize.htm

    that is an example..

most of the military kit will follow this, well certainly the US bdu/acu stuff does because the DOD in the US orders all uniforms that way.
they are baggier but that is a good thing...

maybe some one else can chime in on other types

also look for a thing called ripstop. that is a stiching across the thread to reduce tears and it does work

    good luck

I'm a 42 chest and I have a few combat parkas and shirts that range from 41 to 44. My best fitting ones have always been a 42 though. The room to move idea seems to be included in the size

Flecktarn have a size comparison chart in their FAQ section
