Uninstalled McAfee and I'm wondering how protected my pc is now. Have I installed too much or too little?

Add Spyware Guard to that list. What browser do you use?

Should be ok for average computer usage. Once you are not browsing too many dodgy sites or running P2P file sharing programs.

**EDIT** Might I add also clever enough not to execute email attachments called runMeNowPleaseAndI'llMakeYouRich.exe.

I use windows internet explorer and run windows xp. Which spyware guard should I download, the minimal setup or the full setup? I don't have a router.

Adaware se personal is for spyware, so don't think I need to download anymore spyware programmes. Thanks for the advice anyway.

Sometimes some malicious software won't be found by just the one anti-spyware software. You are well protected. No harm to also download and install Spybot Search & Destroy also.

Also make sure you keep up to date with op ssystem patchs and your browser patchs.

If your feeling extra paranoid try running a root-kit reveller every now and again.
    sys-internals have some good tools.

If you have a decent anti-virus, firewall, and spyware program then you will be fine assuming your not downloading cracks and mass using p2p programs etc

You do not need to worry, AVG and ZA are both quite good, it is more than adequate protection.

use the full set up for spywareguard
you should also use firefox instead of IE, that will help a lot.
