mark ronson put his magic touch on the class bob dylan track Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I’ll Go Mine) from Blond on Blond. i think ronson does a smashin job on it and at least he used the original dylan vox recording rather than get someone in like on version. not bad for a hiphop producer to be given permission by dylan to remix his stuff.

    have a listen on

and let me know what you think.

Meh, it's not as bad as it could've been, but it does scream "unecessary".

I don't get this Ronson guy, He's producing cover versions with second rate stroppy big headed celebs, And making a career of it??? So Whats the big fuss about! "He's a great producer" ? Rubbish
Then calling the album Version as in he's some kind of Classic Dub Producer.
Visit Adrian Sherwood mate for some lessons!
Fashion Led Music Media Strike again.
Dylan should sue and leave Ronsons Blood on the tracks!
Saw him a Glasto, he was less then impressive, his guitar playing was sub par and his band saved him.
Like his mates Lilly Allen, and Any Wineslouse the case of having influential parents and relations goes a long way.

I don't really mind it. Its not a huge departure from the original, but maybe a bit unecessary.. Makes me want to stick on the original and shake my sh*tepipe.

As for Ronson, his stuff is ok. His Smiths cover is good. I really like his cover of LSF (and i don't like the original very much).

Pretty unimaginative. Sounds a lot like what he did to 'A Little Less Conversation'.

That lily allen cover of kaiser chiefs has been described as the 'hit of the summer'. That song was out last year.
This ronson guy is exploiting the stupid nature of pop music these days, anyone can put a beat on a tune, speed it up or slow it down.
What is all the fuss over him about?

I absolutely hate what he did to the Smiths "Stop me if you think that you've heard this one before", he turned a great song with clever slightly black humour lyrics into an empty boy band tune that lacked the correct emphasis on certain bars

Nouvelle Vague also royally pisses me off.

    The Dylan cover is awful.
