hi, im living in monaghan town.
i have a digital tv that gets the vast majority of the digital stations from freeview (all bar the itv's and channel 4's).

im am looking about getting setanta sports via a freeview card. has anyone resident done this?? their website doesnt allow it and when i ring their number i just get diverted for ages..
i suppose i could get a friend with a northern address to get one through their uk packages but would like to get the setanta ireland pachage.

    any help much appreciated

Setanta Ireland is not available on Freeview.

i dunno if define it as freeview or digital etc. not exactly up with the terminolgoy but on my digital tv i have :
    setanta sports ch. 34
    setanta golf ch. 814
    setanta ireland ch.818

am just wondering can you get the freeview card sold to a southern address..and if so does it unscramble teh 3 refered channels...

You are talking about the DTT Trial? That is not Freeview. You need to be part of the trial to get a card for that. They can not be bought or subscribed to.

For the first person on this thread I know someone in Co Monaghan who has the UK Freeview and got Setanta Sports 1 for £9.99 the way he did it was he got a friend in Northern Ireland to use his address with his own credit card and name and he has Top Up Tv the same way with Setanta Sports 1 etc

Freeview does not have subscriptions = Free terrestrial.

Topup Tv is pay TV on UK Terrestrial Digital. It is not Freeview. Freeview uses no card.

FTV (Free To View) card, AKA Freesat-from-Sky is satellite viewing card. In theory it might be possible to add any UK satellite Pay TV to it, but no Irish packages.

The Irish DTT trial nothing to do with pay TV or freeview.

No UK satellite viewing card is sent to other than UK post code.
