I haven't been to that particular hotel but did stay in Sunny Beach last year. Was a great two weeks. I got some money changed before I went over and got some over there too.

Generally good rates over there but only use the main bank on the main street or a place called Bull bank (I think) to change money. If changing anywhere else be very careful some places have "we buy" up for "we sell" and instead of getting like 1.93 Bulgarian Lev for €1 you get rightly done over paying €1.93 for 1 Bulgarian Lev. Effectively halving your money instead of doubling it, be careful with that.

Secondly be very careful with taxies negotiate your fare before you get in the cab and be very careful with 'pimped out' taxies. They usually have TV's to distract your attention from the meter and you get charged a fortune.
We only got stung once out of two weeks so it wasn’t bad. One person I know got threatened with a syringe to the neck so doesn’t get in a taxi with a dodgy driver.

Don't piss off the mafiosa either. If you get out of your tree and hurt yourself you will be taken to a medical centre looked after and then dropped home. Sounds like a great service, Its not. The mafiosa will be up to the apartments the next day for €200 €300 quid for nothing the next day. So try not to hurt yourself in any way.

One more scam to look out for is a crowd of about 10 of the locals stand around at a bus stop. When the bus arrives the first of them rush for the door. Then they block the door and take ages to get on the bus while the others try to rob ya. They’re pro’s and apparently manage to rob two people as each bus arrives. So keep your eyes open.

On the Plus side you can find a pint for 40cents and the food is dirt cheap so it more than make up for the scams that go on in the majority of holiday destinations.

I would be interested to hear people’s opinions and experiences if you were in Sunny beach this year.
If there’s anything else that I have forgotten about please let me know. I’m heading
    over again in three weeks.

Good spot for single men anyway! Mind your wallet and phone though.

Enjoy yourself! Work mate of mine recently spent 2 weeks there with her family and she said she'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

just back last week, had a great time, its full of scandanvians looking dead cool so if your single mean going it could be tough to get a woman unless your paying!

Watch the taxis, i agreed 20levs from sunny beach to nessebar. the taxi driver drove us to some ****ehole part of nessebar and said were here. We looked at him and he said "oh you want tourist part, thats extra", so he drove us the 5mins up the road to the tourist part where the meter got from 20levs to 70levs.He said thats the price cos hes working for a private taxi firm and its on the meter, i told him to take a hike. The fcker had a gear paddle or something behind the indicator stick and wne he pressed that the price went flying up on the meter. I told him im giving him 20levs and we got out of the car and squared up, i ended up giving him 40levs.
He drove a big BMW and was at the rank opposite the corner bar - do not use him hes always there!

Other than that loved it and had a fantastic time, its so cheap its great to!

WIsh i was going back! have fun!
