Does anyone know where I can download the best SNES emulator for the PSP. The one I have is too chopy and slow. This is legal so this article cannot be removed.

    Thanks

The best SNES emulator you can get is choppy and slow. It runs Mario World perfect and thats about it. Everything is slow and choppy. Don't remember the name but I know it's a port of SNES9x. Even Megadrive emulation is dodgy on graphically demanding games. Best stick with Master System, NES, PS1 and TG-16 emulators for the time being.

Yes. Ever heard of Final Fantasy IV-VI, Zelda, Super Metroid, Sparkster, Contra 3, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Axelay, Cybernator, Front Mission, Rocky and Pocky, Plok!, Shadowrun, Super Aleste, Bahamut Lagoon, F-zero etc.

The SNES is full of decent games. About 3 will run at a playable speed on the PSP though.

Thanks. you are correct. I tried Super Mario world and it is the only game that will work properly on the psp. Do you know the name of the other two games that will work.

    Thanks a million

Other than the stage select screen U.N. Squadron works rather well. Haven't found anything else that works at a decent speed. Try the older SNES games without any mode 7 or transparency effects which take up a lot of processing power.

 I've been using snes9xtyl for months now and it runs all the games I play without any problems. The first few releases were ropey but it's excellent now. They've got CPS1 and 2 running on the psp now at full wack so a snes isn't to hard:)
