Ebay Scammers

My dad recently ordered something from ebay without checking his buyers feedback (I Know....), I had a look into it myself and saw this. It seems the user spent a long time getting a good rep and then just began ripping people of. It appears that he does not communicate with the buyer at all and if he does he wastes enough time so that its not ebays problem anymore. This is probably nothing new, Im sure plenty others are at it but my question is how th hell are they getting away with it???? If it was a shop on a street it would be shut in days. They appear to be based in Hong Kong but surely ebay are obliged to contact the relevent authorities over there. What surprises me most of all is that ebay are still letting these guys trade and although you can open a dispute with ebay I dont think you can request directly that someone should be banned. It just seems a bit mental that this guy is making a living from fraud through a legitimate website and nobody seems to be doing anything about it..... anybody any experience with this sort of thing?

Thats why ebay have the feedback system.... if they started banning users for negative feedback they would be in a very bad situation legally....

On eBay, if you dont check feedback, you only have yourself to blame Im afraid. If a seller is careless or fraudulent enough to get lots of negatives, then people wont/shouldnt buy from him. I have noticed that very big sellers often allow a percentage of dud sales to happen, and dont bother following up or trying to sort them, as once their percentage stays in the high 90s they tend not to loose much business. But I agree this guy seems to have let things slip considerably.

Why dont eBay ban him? The cynical view would be because he is generating huge revenue for them.

The whole eBay system is not perfect, but at the end of the day you have to do your own bit to buy wisely.

If your dad paid by Paypal then he should be covered up to €500.
