    Hi all,
How does one go about getting a job with Customs and Excise.

It's part of Revenue, so the first step would be to apply to join the civil service at CO or EO level, try to get placed in Revenue. Not sure what grade the people you see at the ports and airports would be. Try www.publicjobs.ie for more info.

OP what part of C&E are you interested in working in? Its a very big organisation .

As the previous poster has said you must work for Revenue to work in Customs & Excise. Certain Customs positions are filled internally by means of a seperate competitive process.

Thanks for the replies I am a bit long in the tooth to be starting at a low level in the civil service but thanks anyway.
