Been looking through lighting kits myself lately.

400's are not the worst tbh. It seems to be a pretty good kit as for what you get. Have seen a few reviews saying of poor build quality.

You using for just general portraiture use yeah? Do you have studio space for them?

Thanks for the link sebzy, think i'm still going to go with them... have to start rebuilding the kit again :) Pity about the build quality (used to work off a bowens rig with a 3,000w/s powerpack so i know these might feel a bit weedy:) but i suppose you get what you pay for... a bit puzzled by the portraiture only remark on the review, seems a bit simplistic. Going to be using them mostly for product/pack shots at work. Don't have a massive interest in portraiture t.b.h.

Gunns on Wexford Street have them in stock. I was in there on Saturday and saw them on the shop floor.

Check that you can change the lamp unit yourself for Interfit kits as I know some of them have to be returned to them if it needs to be changed.

for what it's worth.. I got the dlite 4 kit a while ago and I love em. Theyre portable, easy to use and work very well. I've done a few events with them (portraiture and group shots etc) and they've been great.

Just ordered the interfit stellar 600 heads from speedgraphic.co.uk... only about €50 more than the elinchrom.

For anyone that is going to buy the d-lite 4 kit - get it from Gunns, they're doing it for €799 (conns/barkers etc are doing it for €849)
