Hennebry might have something. Careful of the rust.

Take a day trip to Dublin or Cork during the week and spend your money much better.

I picked up this one at the weekend in Argos for the princely sum of €25!

    Kodak Gear 54 Tripod

But it is fine & suits me for what i need. Best thing is that it allows you to tilt the stage 90 degrees, useful if you want to take some portrait shots.

This is a good sturdy one, got it in Birminghams in Dublin around a year a half ago. Was around €100. It has taken a fair few hits but it hasn't effected it at all. It even survived the ryanair baggage-hold from Dublin-London and London-Haugesund(Norway).

I have the same one and have to say it's a great tripod! You're best off spending a little bit on a tripod as it's something you're gonna have for a long, long time, and if you start off with a cheap one you'll quickly find yourself looking to upgrade it...

A bit off topic but i just thought i'd ask. I'm thinking of getting one of these. Does anyone else have one? What do they think of them?

take a spin to Cork and pop into O'Leary's on Oliver Plunkett Street. They're not massively cheap (what camera shop in Ireland is?) but they've got a few decent tripods & monopods in there. Get something decent now that'll last you. No point having to buy a €10 tripod every year because the weight of the camera is killing it.

get something that can support a decent weight so to allow for you buying heavier gear and also something that is versatile enough to allow different types of photography.

I have the standard SLr version, bought it for my Panasonic Fz8 before I upgraded to Nikon D40x, it holds the FZ8 fine, good little tripod plus handy to have the ability to bend it to any shape and with a bit of fiddling mount it to most objects.
It does not hold the D40x very well due to the increase in weight but I dont think I would spend the money gettin the SLR zoom version,I'll spring for a full blown tripod this time I think.
    Still nice to have tho'!

Manfrotto FTW. They make tripods anywhere from budget to pro. I got a 055CLB with a 322RC head recently. It's the business. If you want something a bit more reasonable, they do a combined tripod and ball or three way head. The 785's are the base models and should start from €70, if you can find them in this country. What I wouldn't give for a camera with a proper stock:(
