i've seen a red one with white rims and it looks class. a nice set of white Oz multispokes or some chunky rally style white 5 spokes look good too.

I like lack rims too but only the matt black type and i dont think they would look too good on the 206 as its red. i have a black one and wouldnt even put black rims on it.

The other option is something like these, black rims that have had the front face of the spokes polished back to silver. http://wolfrace-alloy-wheels.co.uk/wolfrace/content/view/100/118/

but again, dont know how they would look on a red car.

Aw red with white is more a civic look man! I think anyways! Loads of red civics up here with white OZ lookalike rims! Wana be sdifferent and stand out! I've seen a 20 6with blakc wheels was red n all like! Looked nuice I think!

Gives the car a bad ass look in a good way like! I think?? They would be Matt black yea!

black ones only look nice if they're large and with few spokes, otherwise they look like steel wheels without hubcaps!

Get a set of 16'' Borbet A rims and colour code the centres. Proper euro style

The problem with large rims is that they negatively impact all of the following:
Acceleration and breaking: greater rotational mass (it is quite significant)
Handling: greater unsprung mass (again quite significant)
Comfort: greater unsprung mass and less give in the lower profile tyres required to maintain the same rolling radius
Looks: I know this is a personal taste thing, but to me nothing looks more pathetic than a tiny little brake disc lost inside a huge wheel. It makes it look like you got a really weedy car and just slapped on some big fancy wheels and there is nothing worse than a car that is all show and no go (the other way around is great though).
Insurance: Unless your car came with those wheels, they may not cover you, particularly if they are larger than any standard fit ones (not that that seems to be an issue for you). If your car was not homologated with those wheels or similar ones, you may not even be road legal and may not be covered by any warranty.

I know that the reason you want to fit them is for looks, which is fine, if that's what you're in to. Personally, I would be happier with a worse looking car if it was better technically, but I know that I am in the minority here.

nah your not really the minority nastysimon im with you on this one, i prefer a lightweight set of 15`s anyday, but hell i drive a civic so i need the least amount of rotating mass i can get :D

I found that going from 14inch fairly light wheels and tyres to 13inch very light wheels and tyres lost me 1/3 of the combined weight per corner (14.7kg to 9.6kg). That's the kind of improvement that knocks seconds off lap times and makes the car more comfortable too. Ok, it's only 20kg weight saving, but that weight is where it is most crucial. On a small, light car, removing weight and particularly reducing unsprung and rotational mass is even more important. In my case it knocked almost 4% off the car's total weight, definitely not something to sneeze at.

True, but civics look cack on 17''+ wheels anyway! A nice set of 15 or 16'' advans/enkei/rotas look the dogs danglies on them, especially the ek shape!

Generally I agree with this comment - although I have to say that I have seen some really nice jobs done where the front discs are repaced with nice aftermarket items - grooved etc and the drums on the rear have been prepped and painted to a nice standard.

    Cheers
