Robbing ba$tards. I sent a C class in a few years ago with a dash rattle. They presented me with a bill for €3,000 for stripping the dash out to find it.

    I didn't pay it.

We use them for the CEO's car and have just bought a big machine off them. Have only had positive feedback, but then again they only get the expensive stuff to work on where it needs to get fixed and cost isn't the issue.

Expensive work? Ok I need a drivers side front ball joint changed and a new passenger front seat sensor replaced (S320 w220) worth giving it to an indie?

I use a variety of independents depending on where the car is. But for warranty I use Belgard.

    What model/year is your MB?

You could try Greenmount Motors who are in Harolds X about 200m from TR. They are used to that sort of car. I've never used them myself, but I used to sell them parts. A friend of mine uses them and finds them good.

Greenmount Motors - 01 454 2178. IIRC, ask for Pat or Seán.

I've never used him, but I seem to remember hearing good things about Tony Canning? I need a good, cheap Mercedes independent myself, to service my old C280 for the friend who bought it.

Dropped my 97 C180 Mercedes in last week for a full service, i did find them a little expensive but it was worth paying that little extra as the customer service was outstanding!! <snip - that could get you in trouble> Would highly recommend using TR Motors again..very pleasant to deal with :):)

They have helped out the wife on two occasions and she had nothing but praise for them, reasonable too, plan to try them should I need work in the future.

    Old thread closed.

Please don't bump old threads and forgive me if I find it a little suspect a first time poster is mentioning people by name.
