Scopetronic house alarm - battery

    Hi all,
    I am wondering would anybody know any place in Dublin where I could get a battery for Scopetronic house alarm?

    All these panels use standard sealed lead acid batteries and these can be picked up either at an alarm supplier or in an electronics shop such as Pete's pr Maplin. But, you will probably have to bring in the existing battery to them to identify the capacity.

    You should also be able to get one from one of the Security Equipment Wholesalers, or an Electrical Wholesaler - Check the Golden Pages.

    Most panels take a 12V 7 Ah (Amp-hour) Sealed Lead-Acid Rechargeable Battery.

    This is your best bet, not Maplins. These batterys should cost about €10. Maplins will happily take €30-€40 of your hard earned money. You probobly would only need a 3.5 amp battery, unless there are a lot of PiRs or extra keypads on the system.
