Just on the off chance if anyone else on here had the same problem and managed to fix it. The mate has a 80gig creative Nomad Zen Jukebox Mp3 player and as soon as he turns it on it will just freeze and wont allow him do anything. To get it to turn off he has to take the battery out. IF he takes the cover off is there any way of resetting it inside or is it possible to reload/flash it to stop the freezeing?.
Failing that what is the warranty on these from creative. IF it is out of warranty has anybody used a third party to fix their one and found them good

    Thanks

I have had my Nomad Player freeze on me but usually taking the battery out, putting it back in again and turning on does the trick.....After that, the worst that happens is that it goes back to whatever song it was playing when it froze up.
Sorry, never had to send it away so can't give you any personal experience of that!

Cheers for that Sabre but it didnt work for me. But I found some info on the creative forums which worked, so if your Nomad Zen Xtra ever freezes you could try this: With the power supply plugged in and the unit turned off press and hold the Play/Stop button and at the same time push a pin/paper clip into the reset hole. This should bring up a resuce screen with for options.
