mechanical engineering vs. applied mechanics

    Can someone please point out the differences between these two subjects? And what kind of jobs do the different educations give?

    You'd have to list the two course contents.

    Applied Mechanics is usually taught as a module in any mechanical engineering qualification, it is all about the maths and physics of machines. How to calculate gears, cams, gyyroscopes etc.
