I think this is a new thing, cos I'm sure I checked in their Carrickmines branch last year, but Halfords shop in Tallaght on the Belgard Road stock enough bike bits to do a full service now.

    Plugs, filters, oil, the lot.

I'd like to support the 'local' bike shop, but they're rubbish at opening times and stock. Halfords shelf was fully stocked, with a booklet telling you exactly what plugs/filters/oil every bike you can think of would use, and they open late weekdays and all weekend. :/

They've been stocking these items since they first arrived. They tend to be a bit slow in re-supplying them when stocks run out though.. Castrol 10W40 for example is rarely ever in stock.. Still, very handy in a pinch..

.....as I found out this evening at 5pm when I needed a new battery for the VFR! Bit pricey, but when you're stuck, you're stuck. I bought a champion oil filter their recently for 3.50 though, so some of it is ok. Their bike security stuff is extortionate though!
