I am getting a 32" LCD tv from komplett and I am in a quandary as to which delivery service to use. An post for €12 or GLS for €14.

Would you trust An Post with your €700 new tv? Would I be better to leave it with GLS?

    Opinions?

If GLS deliveries are bad in your area, go with An Post.

I'd trust An Post before I'd trust GLS. It'll be insured with whichever delivery service you use anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I will also go with AnPost
If the box looks damage make note of it when you sign for it.

I always pick AnPost. Search the forum for GLS posts, about a year back. They got very bad press for ****ing up. Seeminly they're good for the West of Ireland, but for the East, pick AnPost.

For the record, I've used AnPost for a package costing around the €900 mark, in computer bits.

Well I bought a 32" LCD from Komplett on a Friday evening, was delivered to the door on Wednesday lunchtime I think, by An Post, in pristine condition.

That's great service in fairness for €12 .
